Barbara, Live, 1972

Barbara was one of Dennis' most frequently played songs at concerts in the early 70's, and for good reason. Many consider this tune to be one of his most perfectly realized love ballads. Unabashedly proclaiming his love for his wife, Dennis supports simple, direct, and sensitive lyrics with a gentle but surprisingly complex piano-driven arrangement. This performance is taken from an un-circulated audience tape and is unavailable anywhere else. The sound quality may be a bit wanting, but the rarity factor is high. The tape-drop in the middle of the song is from the original tape. NOTE the lyrics in the tag at the end...lyrics NOT found on the studio version of the song. The audience tape used to master this file stopped abruptly just before the end of the song.
